Prague recently hosted the CEZ Czech Beach Volleyball Championships, where new national champions were crowned. In the women`s competition, the second-seeded duo of Andrea Lorenzova and Mariana Tomasova clinched the national title. They secured a 2-0 (35-33, 21-11) victory in an thrilling final against third-seeded Julie Honzovicova and Valerie Dvornikova, following a tightly contested first set. Anna Pospisilova and Daniela Mokra, the top seeds, took home the bronze medal after a hard-fought 2-1 (24-22, 15-21, 15-12) win against Justyna Frommova and Jaroslava Marcelova in the third-place playoff.

The men`s competition saw the top three seeded teams perfectly align with the podium finishes. Tadeas Trousil and Jiri Sedlak dominated the national championship match, sweeping Tomas Semerad and Adam Stocek 2-0 (21-11, 21-16). The bronze medal was claimed by Matyas Jezek and Adam Waber, who defeated Martin Melmuka and Martin Pihera 2-0 (22-20, 21-14) for third place.

Italy
Termoli recently hosted the penultimate event of the 2025 Fonzies Absolute Italian Beach Volleyball Championship tour. In the men`s category, Mauro Sacripanti and Giacomo Titta emerged victorious, staging a 2-0 (21-18, 21-11) upset against the top-seeded team of Tiziano Andreatta and Davide Benzi in the final. Italian Olympians Samuele Cottafava and Enrico Rossi secured the bronze medal, winning 2-0 (21-16, 21-17) against second-seeded Matteo Martino and Simone Podesta in the third-place match.

For the women, second-seeded Giada Benazzi and Erika Ditta claimed the gold by upsetting bracket leaders Alice Gradini and Federica Frasca with a 2-0 (21-13, 23-21) score in the final. The bronze medal was awarded to the Italian-American duo of Arianna Barboni and Courtney Schwan, who defeated Jessica Bellero Piccinin and Claudia Puccinelli 2-0 (21-15, 21-19) to earn their spot on the podium.

Japan
The 2025 Japan Beach Volleyball Tour continued with a recent stop in Aomori. In the women`s tournament, the second-seeded pair of Miki Ishii and Mayu Kikuchi secured the trophy, dominating the final with a 2-0 (21-5, 21-8) victory over Ami Shirahata and Suzuna Fukuda. The bronze medal was shared between the two semifinalist teams: Miu Sasawatari & Noa Utsugi, and the top-seeded duo Sakura Ito & Mayu Sawame.

The men’s final saw an upset as third-seeded Yusuke Ishijima (Gottsu) and Juntaro Tachiya defeated the top-seeded Hiroki Dylan Kurokawa and Yoshiumi Hasegawa 2-0 (22-20, 21-16). Third place was jointly awarded to two teams: the German-Japanese combination of Martin Kaufer and Kensuke Shoji, and the international pairing of Japan’s Taito Mizumachi and New Zealand’s Thomas Hartles.

Fuengirola hosted the 2025 Spanish Beach Volleyball Championships. Alejandro Huerta and Adrian Gavira secured the men`s national championship title, achieving a 2-0 (21-7, 21-19) victory against Javier Huerta and Oscar Jimenez in the final. The top-seeded duo Antonio Saucedo and Alvaro Viera earned the bronze medal after a challenging 2-1 (21-15, 17-21, 15-12) win over second-seeded Pablo Perez and Nathan Matos in the third-place match.

Switzerland
Bern, the capital, was the venue for the Swiss Beach Volleyball Championships, marking the final stop of the Emmi Caffe Latte Beachtour. Anouk Verge-Depre and Zoe Verge-Depre, Switzerland`s highest internationally ranked female duo, secured the national title. The top-seeded pair achieved a hard-fought 2-0 (23-21, 21-15) victory over Menia Bentele and Annique Niederhauser in the gold medal match. Second-seeded Leona Kernen and Muriel Bossart claimed the bronze, defeating Linda Abbuhl and Livia Stolz 2-0 (21-17, 21-18) for third place.

In the men’s competition, the top-ranked Florian Breer and Luc Fluckiger also fulfilled expectations, emerging as Swiss champions.
