Brescianini's Versatility Earns Him a Stay at Fiorentina, Convincing Grosso

Marco Brescianini might remain with Fiorentina. Despite the midfielder, who joined in January from Atalanta, having been offered to numerous clubs and seemingly heading for an exit from Viola Park this summer, recent days have altered his prospects. Coach Grosso sees Brescianini as a valuable option across multiple positions beyond just a central midfielder. He has assessed the player's tactical strengths during preseason, and Fiorentina would be happy to keep him as a solid alternative to Valdepenas at left-back. Furthermore, Brescianini can also play a hybrid role between midfield and attack, a versatility that the coach from Pescara highly appreciates. Naturally, this situation could change if a compelling offer materializes, though the sentiment is that no club is likely to bid at least ten million euros for a permanent transfer or a mandatory buy-out for a player who, this summer, has not received any concrete offers.

With Giovanni Fabbian now on loan to Parma with an option to buy, the future of another midfielder, Rolando Mandragora, could also shift. Mandragora, who attracted interest from Genoa and Bologna over the summer, might depart in the final days of the transfer window if an offer of at least 10 million euros is received. Mandragora's potential exit could then open the door for Thortsvedt, a player who has been waiting since June to leave Sassuolo and join Fiorentina.
