GE HealthCare to Showcase AI-enabled Imaging Technologies, Advanced Software Solutions at ACC.26
At ACC.26, GE HealthCare is set to present its newest solutions designed to support clinicians throughout the entire cardiology care journey, from initial diagnosis and treatment to procedural guidance and continuous monitoring. These cutting-edge cardiology innovations, integrating advancements in diagnostic cardiology, CT, image-guided solutions, ultrasound, and cloud/software platforms, are instrumental in empowering clinicians to deliver precise, critical care for patients.
Cardiovascular disease continues to be the leading cause of death in the United States, with an alarming rate of one death every 34 seconds and over 900,000 lives lost annually. With nearly half of U.S. adults living with some form of cardiovascular disease and patient volumes steadily increasing, clinicians are under growing pressure. They must detect diseases earlier, characterize them with greater precision, and make confident decisions more rapidly, often with limited time and resources. The solutions GE HealthCare will feature at ACC.26 are specifically engineered to address these challenges through ultra-high-definition imaging, sophisticated intravascular visualization, and AI-supported workflows.
Advancing Cardiac Imaging with Photon-counting CT
GE HealthCare will highlight ongoing progress in photon-counting CT technology, featuring the recently U.S. FDA 510(k) cleared Photonova Spectra. This AI-enabled imaging system, powered by proprietary Deep Silicon detectors, directly measures individual X-ray photons and their energy. This capability leads to ultra-high-definition imaging, enhanced tissue characterization, and superior material differentiation. In cardiology, this innovation is designed to provide more detailed visualization of coronary anatomy, improved plaque characterization, and dose-conscious cardiac imaging, ultimately boosting clinicians' diagnostic confidence.
Eigil Samset, General Manager, Cardiology Solutions at GE HealthCare, commented, “The field of cardiology is entering a transformative era where imaging quality, data intelligence, and workflow efficiency must converge seamlessly. At ACC.26, we are demonstrating how innovations such as Deep Silicon photon-counting CT and advanced intravascular imaging can equip clinicians with unparalleled clarity, enabling confident actions and truly personalized heart care throughout the patient’s journey.”
Introducing ReadyFix for Enhanced Fleet Management
For the first time at a U.S. cardiology event, GE HealthCare will unveil ReadyFix, a fleet management solution now compatible with MAC VU360 resting electrocardiogram (ECG) workstations. Recently launched in the U.S., ReadyFix integrates with MAC VU360 to optimize cardiac care delivery and device uptime. It achieves this by providing access to real-time data, remote software deployment configuration management, and diagnostics. ReadyFix empowers health systems to proactively maintain and optimize MAC VU360 performance remotely from a centralized dashboard, thereby reducing device-related disruptions and ensuring consistent, high-quality patient care.
New Collaborations and Interventional Technology
At ACC.26, GE HealthCare will underscore its commitment to advancing offerings for the cardiac catheterization lab. This includes intelligent imaging, workflow-focused interventional solutions, and strategic collaborations aimed at broadening access to complementary technologies. A key example is its recent agreement with Gentuity in the U.S., which will connect GE HealthCare customers with Gentuity HF-OCT and Vis-Rx PRIME Micro-Imaging Catheter. Together, these technologies are designed to enhance percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) planning and improve intraprocedural visualization in complex coronary procedures. This initiative builds upon recent successes within GE HealthCare’s interventional portfolio, including the U.S. FDA 510(k) clearance and CE Mark for Allia Moveo, the latest Allia IGS platform developed to assist clinicians across a broad spectrum of interventional procedures.
Philip Rackliffe, President and CEO, Advanced Visualization Solutions at GE HealthCare, stated, “Our primary goal is to help clinicians navigate the complexities of the cath lab with increased confidence. Our collaboration with Gentuity exemplifies how we are expanding access to advanced imaging technologies—empowering clinicians to make critical decisions with greater clarity and precision—while continually strengthening our broader interventional portfolio.”
