How to Watch the 2026 U.S. Open Tennis Tournament
The 2026 U.S. Open is scheduled to take place from Sunday, August 30th, to Sunday, September 13th, at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.
The initial rounds for both the men's and women's singles competitions will occur during the first three days of the tournament, from Sunday to Tuesday.
Notable player absences include World No. 1 Jannik Sinner due to a knee injury. Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz is making his return after a wrist injury sustained in April, and despite a challenging draw, he remains the betting favorite. Other top contenders include French Open champion and No. 1 seed Alexander Zverev, 24-time major champion Novak Djokovic aiming for a record 25th Grand Slam title, and the top-ranked American, Ben Shelton.
In the women's singles, the two-time defending champion and World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka is favored to secure her third consecutive title. However, many experts are predicting a win for No. 4 seed Coco Gauff, who is coming off a victory at the Cincinnati Open. Iga Swiatek, a six-time major champion, is considered the third favorite, followed by four-time major champion Naomi Osaka.
ESPN platforms will provide comprehensive coverage of the U.S. Open for 15 days, commencing on August 30th. Live streaming will be available on the ESPN App starting at 11 a.m. ET daily, continuing until the conclusion of play. The broadcasts will feature wall-to-wall coverage from all courts, culminating in the Women's Singles Final on September 12th at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN, ESPN+, and ESPN Deportes, and the Men's Singles Final on September 13th at 2 p.m. ET on ABC, ESPN+, and ESPN Deportes.
