Inter Women's Coach Sassarini: "Not Being at Our Best and Still Winning is a Good Omen"

The women's football season has officially commenced with the Women's Cup kicking off today. Among the day's notable participants, Inter secured a victory against Parma, earning three points in their season opener.

Speaking to Sky Sport after the match, Inter's manager David Sassarini shared his thoughts: "I believe we played an organized first half, in all phases of the game, but personally, I didn't find it to be a beautiful match. In the second half, we risked a bit in certain situations, which led us to change our formation and on-field interpretation. The players were excellent in this regard, demonstrating their dedication to daily training. We can't always be at our peak, but when we manage to win regardless, it's a positive start. Ultimately, this is all part of our growth process."

However, there's little time to celebrate, as attention now shifts to European competition with the third qualifying round of the Women's Champions League approaching. "Now we need to recover and analyze today's situations. Wolfsburg is a very strong team, but we will go out and compete because we know our own worth."
