Luis Castro, Trish Reilly, and Barry Wilkinson have been selected to receive accolades at the upcoming third annual MacGuffin Awards. This prestigious event is organized by the Property Masters Guild (PMG), an organization dedicated to celebrating and elevating the art of the Property Master. The PMG aims to enhance awareness of the craft, foster collaboration among artisans, provide education for its members, and inspire future generations of property professionals.

The honorees were announced on Tuesday, acknowledging their outstanding craftsmanship, commitment, and service within the property department and the wider entertainment production community.

Luis Castro will be presented with the Humanitarian Award. His distinguished 25-year career spans roles as an executive chef, private chef, culinary instructor, and restaurant owner. In the last decade, he transitioned to food styling for film and television, contributing to notable projects such as "This Is Us," "Westworld," "9-1-1," "Bel-Air," "Paradise," and "Barbie." Castro also established Imagine Cookin, a company offering in-home cooking classes tailored for neurodivergent individuals.

Trish Reilly is recognized with the President's Award for her significant work as a food stylist on productions like "Obi-Wan," "Rebel Moon," and "The Orville." Her culinary contributions also extend to creating the distinctive food for "Grotesquerie" and the prop blood used in "American Horror Story."

Barry Wilkinson will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, celebrating a remarkable 40-year career in the property department. His extensive filmography includes serving as property master for iconic films such as "Titanic," "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," "Who Framed Roger Rabbit," two James Bond films including "GoldenEye," and all eight installments of the original "Harry Potter" series.

PMG President Jeffrey Johnson commented on the significance of the awards: "The MacGuffin Awards are about recognizing the people whose creativity, generosity, and dedication help define our craft, both on set and beyond it. Luis, Trish, and Barry each represent a different and invaluable part of what makes the property community so special. Their careers and contributions reflect the skill, ingenuity, and spirit that we are proud to celebrate."

The third annual MacGuffin Awards ceremony is scheduled for September 12th at the Paramount Theatre in Hollywood. The live event will also announce the winners in various competitive categories across film, television, and commercial productions.
