Preview of the 13th leg of the SuperLega Credem Banca 2025/26 season.
Published: December 25, 2025
Following a long-standing tradition in Italy, a key leg of the Men’s Volleyball SuperLega Credem Banca is scheduled for December 26th, the day after the country celebrates Christmas. Friday’s program features six exciting matches and opens with the most thrilling contest of the 13th leg: the clash between sixth-placed Cucine Lube Civitanova and fifth-placed Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza.
The Main Event: Lube vs. Gas Sales
Cucine Lube Civitanova will host Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza at the Eurosuole Forum at 16:00 local time (15:00 UTC). The two teams are closely ranked in the current standings. Lube sits in sixth place with 22 points and a 7-5 win-loss record. If they secure a win, they will overtake Gas Sales, who are currently fifth with 23 points and an identical 7-5 record. Although Gas Sales managed a straight-set sweep when the teams last met in Piacenza in November, the all-time historical head-to-head record heavily favors Lube, with 13 victories to Gas Sales’ 3.
Other Key Matchups on December 26th
Verona vs. Grottazzolina
The second game of the day features third-placed Rana Verona (28 points, 10-2) hosting Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina at the Agsm AIM hall, starting at 17:00 (16:00 UTC). The visitors from Grottazzolina are struggling at the bottom of the standings in 12th place, winless with just 2 points (0-12). Verona previously swept the October fixture in straight sets.
Perugia Resumes Campaign
The newly crowned club world champions, Sir Susa Scai Perugia, who triumphed in Belem on Sunday, will immediately resume their SuperLega campaign with an away game at Cisterna Volley. Sir is second in the table with 19 points and a 10-2 record, separated from the leaders only by set ratios. The home team, Cisterna, is second from the bottom in 11th place (6 points, 3-9 record). Perugia, known as the Block Devils, swept Cisterna earlier this season. The match in Cisterna di Latina begins at 18:00 (17:00 UTC).
Clash of Champions: Monza vs. Trentino
At the same hour, defending champions Itas Trentino Trento will visit Vero Volley Monza at the Opiquad Arena. Trentino recently secured the top spot in the table, moving past Sir based on superior set ratios following their weekend victory. Vero Volley occupies eighth place with 12 points and a 4-8 record. Trentino previously shut out Vero Volley at home in November.
Milan vs. Padua
Also serving off at 18:00 (17:00 UTC), Allianz Milan will entertain Sonepar Padova Padua at the Allianz Cloud. Milan is positioned seventh (20 points, 7-5 record), while the visitors stand ninth (11 points, 4-8 record). Their first meeting this season in November was a hard-fought five-set battle in Padua, which Milan ultimately managed to win.
Year-End Finale: Modena vs. Cuneo
The final SuperLega match of the 2025 calendar year will see Valsa Group Modena host MA Acqua San Bernardo Cuneo at the Panini hall. The game is scheduled to start at 20:30 (19:30 UTC). Modena is strong in fourth place (25 points, 8-4 record). SuperLega newcomers Cuneo are third from the bottom in 10th place (9 points, 2-10 record). Their previous encounter in November also went to five sets, where the favored visitors from Modena claimed the victory.
