The Sport Ireland Campus, boasting its newly installed inland beach facility, was filled with vibrant energy and excitement as it proudly hosted the Small Countries Association (SCA) U19 Beach Volleyball Championships from August 1-2, 2025.
Young athletes from six SCA member associations—Andorra, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Scotland—gathered to compete in one of the most anticipated youth beach volleyball events of the year. This two-day tournament magnificently showcased top-tier under-19 talent, treating spectators to high-level competition, a lively atmosphere, and impressive performances from the sport`s rising stars.
Hosted by Volleyball Ireland, the event represented a significant stride forward in the development of Beach Volleyball within the country and the broader region. With crucial support from CEV, SCA, and Sport Ireland, the championship underscored the growing popularity and intense competitiveness of beach volleyball among young athletes across Ireland and the SCA area.
This championship was a testament to the immense potential of our young athletes and a pivotal moment for beach volleyball`s growth in the region.

The championships featured thrilling matchups across both men’s and women’s competitions. Iceland delivered an outstanding performance, securing double gold by triumphing in both the men’s and women’s categories. In the women’s event, an Icelandic duo also earned a bronze medal, placing third behind the host nation Ireland, who proudly secured their first-ever silver medal. On the men’s side, Scotland completed the podium by clinching both silver and bronze medals.
