Eighth edition of Mini Volleyball league concludes with a bang!

The eighth season of Montenegro`s most popular sports initiative specifically designed for children, the Mini Volleyball league, successfully concluded this past weekend. The final tournament was held in Podgorica at the local Verde sports hall.

Around 900 young players participated in this year`s Mini Volleyball league in Montenegro.

Fourteen matches featuring boys and girls aged nine to 13 provided great entertainment during the final weekend. The event culminated in medal ceremonies involving all participants, celebrating their involvement and effort.

Since the season opened in October 2024, the league has broken previous participation records. Nearly 900 young players across 82 teams from 18 Montenegrin clubs gained valuable Volleyball experience, built friendships, and learned important lessons about fair play and healthy competition.

The Mini Volleyball league is organized by the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro with the support of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV). Its primary goal is to contribute significantly to the development and popularization of Volleyball throughout this Balkan country.

The league provided young players with a chance to develop their skills and passion for volleyball.

Medals were awarded by prominent figures in Montenegrin volleyball. Ksenija Božović, Director of Women`s National Team programs for the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, presented medals to representatives of teams from Morača, Net, Libero, Iskra, Budućnost, and Tempo.

Senior national team libero Melisa Cenović awarded medals to the members of Herceg Novi, Mediteran, Mrkojevići, Ulcinj, Ivangrad, and Barbana.

Youth national team member Lana Rakočević presented medals to the players from Top Volley, As, Akademija, Mornar, Gorštak, and Lovćen.
