Hugh McCutcheon, the Secretary General of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), recently concluded a significant visit to Fiji. His mission was to convene with prominent national sports leaders and key stakeholders, aiming to accelerate the growth and development of volleyball across the island nation. This strategic engagement is in full alignment with the ambitious objectives set forth in the FIVB Strategic Vision 2032.

During his impactful time in Fiji, McCutcheon engaged in crucial high-level discussions with several influential figures within the country`s sports landscape. These included Ms. Vanessa Kilner, Chief Executive Officer of the Fiji Amateur Sports Association and National Olympic Committee (FASANOC), and Mr. Peter Mazey, Executive Chairman of the Fiji National Sports Commission (FNSC). Furthermore, he conducted productive meetings with various representatives from the Fiji Volleyball Federation, fostering collaborative efforts essential for enhancing the sport`s presence and ensuring its bright future in the Pacific region.
