Greece initially defied expectations, delivering a strong performance in the first set and building significant leads in the subsequent three. However, France rallied to maintain their composure, ultimately securing a 3-1 (17-25, 25-21, 28-26, 25-17) victory.

Italy Dominates Pool B, Belgium Finishes Runners-Up

Italy, already assured a place in the eighth-finals, faced Belgium in a contest for the top spot in Pool B at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship in Thailand. Swedish superstar opposite Isabelle Haak delivered an extraordinary performance, scoring an astounding 39 points to power Sweden to their first-ever victory in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championships. Concluding their debut campaign in Thailand, the European squad secured a four-set win over Egypt in Bangkok on Tuesday. This triumph placed them third in their final pool standings with a 1-2 win-loss record and 4 points, while their Egyptian counterparts departed the tournament without a win.

Haak`s remarkable contribution included 34 spiking points with a 56% attack success rate, complemented by three kill blocks and two aces, as Sweden clinched a 3-1 (25-18, 26-28, 25-20, 25-16) victory, making her the top scorer of the match.

Brazil Dominates Pool C, Advances Undefeated

Brazil concluded their pool play at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship with an impeccable record on Tuesday. The South American powerhouse secured another victory against Puerto Rico in their third and final match in Chiang Mai, remaining undefeated.
