France solidified its position as a dominant force in Volleyball, extending its impressive streak of success in age-group tournaments. In Uzbekistan, they defeated Poland in the U19 World Championship final on Sunday, successfully retaining the title previously won by an earlier generation. This victory made France only the third nation, following Brazil and Serbia, to achieve consecutive titles in this event since its inception in the late 1980s.

Vieira and Chamereau nearly clinched another gold for France but ultimately lost a tiebreaker in the EuroBeachVolley final to Ukraine’s formidable duo, Maryna Hladun and Tetiana Lazarenko. Despite the loss, both France and Ukraine achieved a historic milestone, as neither country had previously secured a women’s EuroBeachVolley title. Vieira and Chamereau had an exceptional performance in Düsseldorf, captivating many spectators and matching France`s best-ever finish in the event – a silver medal won by Anabelle Prawerman and Cécile Rigaux in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, in 1999.
