Gothenburg Beach Club and Slow Down Beachvolleyklubb Triumph at Swedish Club Championships

The second annual Swedish Beach Volleyball Club Championships, held over three intense days in late June in Norrköping, concluded with thrilling victories. Gothenburg Beach Club impressively claimed the women`s title, while Slow Down Beachvolleyklubb successfully defended their men`s championship. Both triumphant clubs have earned the prestigious right to represent Sweden in the preliminary rounds of the CEV Beach Volley European Cup 2025.

This year`s championships proved to be a significant highlight in the Swedish beach volleyball calendar, bringing together a total of 16 elite teams – eight in the women`s category and an equal number in the men`s division. They fiercely competed over three days to be crowned Sweden`s Club Champions for 2025. Building on the resounding success of its premiere in 2024, the competition once again delivered intense and captivating action for fans and participants alike.

Men`s Championship: Slow Down Retains Dominance

The men`s final featured a gripping showdown between the reigning champions, Slow Down Beachvolleyklubb, and Gothenburg Beach Club, a prominent Swedish club renowned for its roster of internationally experienced players. In a fiercely contested battle, Slow Down Beachvolleyklubb ultimately secured their second consecutive title with a nail-biting 15-13 victory in the golden set, after each club`s pairing had won one match. This demonstrated their consistent strength and strategic prowess on the sand.

Women`s Championship: Gothenburg Beach Club Takes Gold

The women`s final proved to be equally dramatic, culminating in a decisive golden set to determine the champions. Gothenburg Beach Club emerged victorious, overcoming last year`s formidable champions, The Beach, a well-regarded Stockholm-based club. The final score of 15-11 in the tie-breaking set marked a significant achievement for Gothenburg Beach Club, highlighting their skill and determination.
