The CEV Coaches Convention, held from September 26-28 in Zadar, Croatia, concluded on Sunday with a series of dynamic and inspiring workshops. These sessions brought together coaches and experts to collectively explore innovative strategies for expanding the sport across all disciplines, including indoor, beach, sitting, and parabeach volleyball, as well as youth and adult participation.
The workshops were structured around two primary objectives:
- Facilitating the Exchange of Best Practices: Each group was tasked with presenting the three most effective “Grow the Game” programs or ideas from their respective national federations, explaining the reasons behind their impact.
- Envisioning Future Growth Opportunities: Participants were challenged to design a hypothetical program they would implement if awarded a grant from the CEV, detailing how it could enhance the reach and inclusivity of volleyball.
Designed to foster collaboration, the format featured three invited speakers who guided and supported the various groups. Each group benefited from a dedicated speaker who helped shape their discussions and subsequently presented their collective findings to all attendees.
This collaborative approach led to a dynamic exchange of insights, actionable strategies, and innovative concepts, strongly reinforcing the Convention`s core mission: to motivate, enable, and prepare coaches throughout Europe to foster volleyball`s expansion at every level and in every environment.
