Armenia proudly hosted the 2025 #EuroVolleyU16M tournament in Yerevan from July 23 to August 3. Sixteen national teams showcased their passion, talent, and sportsmanship in an unforgettable competition.

Matches were initially held at two venues: the Armenian-Russian (Slavonic) University and the Gazprom Sports and Education Complex, both filled with energetic and supportive fans. From the semi-finals onwards, all games moved to the Gazprom complex, which provided optimal conditions for the tournament`s conclusive stages.

The event captivated widespread public interest. Local media provided extensive coverage, and daily attendance at the arena grew, drawing in seasoned volleyball enthusiasts, families, and curious newcomers alike. The championship became a popular topic throughout the city and beyond, spreading an infectious wave of excitement and energy.

The bronze medal match between France and Poland was a dynamic and intense affair, captivating the audience. The final, a truly emotional and thrilling encounter between Italy and Spain, featured incredible rallies and memorable moments, culminating in a victory for the Azzurrini. The arena was filled with fervent cheers and vibrant support, creating an atmosphere befitting a European final.

The closing ceremony was a joyous and festive occasion. All participating teams received medals, trophies, and commemorative gifts. Individual accolades were also presented to the tournament`s top players in each position:

  • Opposite Hitter: Federico Guiotto (ITA)
  • Middle Blockers: Enzo Savalli (FRA), Michele Mangini (ITA)
