Volleyball Ireland is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Barker as its new Chief Executive Officer, following a thorough and competitive selection process.

Barker joins Volleyball Ireland with an impressive background in commercial development and leadership. Prior to this role, he served as Deputy CEO and Commercial Director at Sunshine 106.8, where he played a pivotal role in boosting revenues, establishing strong partnerships, and transforming the team`s commercial operations.

Bringing extensive experience in cultivating dynamic and sustainable relationships across the sports and media sectors, Barker`s strategic focus aligns perfectly with Volleyball Ireland`s ambitions. His appointment comes at an exciting juncture for the organization, which continues to build on recent successes and the effective implementation of its “Feel The Buzz” strategic plan.

Barker will officially commence his duties in early November, taking the helm during the first half of Volleyball Ireland`s largest-ever indoor league season, which will see a 20% increase in competing teams across the country.
