Karpacz, Poland Set to Host U20 Snow Volleyball European Championship

Snow Volleyball is returning in early March (specifically from the 7th to the 9th) with the second edition of the CEV continental championship for the U20 category. Following a very successful debut last year in Georgia, the 2025 event will be held in Karpacz, Poland. This marks the first time an international snow volleyball competition in this age group takes place in Poland, a fitting choice given Poland`s strong performance last year in Bakuriani, where their men`s team secured gold and the women`s team finished in second place after the final match against Czechia.

Polish teams excelled last year in Bakuriani, with the men winning gold and the women finishing second.

Karpacz is renowned as one of the most beautiful towns in the Karkonosze Mountains and is a popular tourist destination in southwestern Poland. Its unique charm and vibrant atmosphere make it an ideal location to host this significant tournament, bringing together the promising young athletes of European Snow Volleyball.

We are extremely proud and delighted to welcome such a prestigious event to our city. Hosting the U20 Snow Volleyball European Championship is a great honour for Karpacz and a chance to showcase our commitment to supporting sports and promoting our beautiful winter destination. Our city has long been known as a destination for winter sports enthusiasts, offering a perfect combination of natural beauty and excellent facilities. Hosting this championship is not only a chance to showcase our region on the international stage but also an opportunity to contribute to the development of this innovative and exciting discipline.

We believe that the tournament will inspire young athletes, bring together communities, and highlight the importance of physical activity in promoting health and well-being. Such events strengthen the bond between sports and local tourism, thereby creating new opportunities for both sectors. Karpacz is ready to welcome players, coaches, and fans, and we look forward to supporting this remarkable celebration of teamwork and passion.

The event will be taking place at the local athletics stadium in Karpacz.

I am very happy that we will be hosting the second-ever U20 Snow Volleyball European Championship in Karpacz. The development of this still young discipline is an inspiring phenomenon that attracts people who value team competition while seeking something different from traditional winter sports. I hope that Snow Volleyball tournaments will also attract tourists and sports enthusiasts to winter resorts. Its growth can contribute to promoting sports, a healthy lifestyle, and enhancing the tourism offerings of local communities. I believe that the tournament in Karpacz at the beginning of March will bring great joy to Polish fans. Last year, at the European Championship in Bakuriani, Georgia, our players returned home with two medals. I hope that, while playing on home soil, we can at least repeat those excellent results.

— Jacek Kasprzyk, Deputy Director of the Beach and Snow Volleyball Department of the Polish Volleyball Federation

I am honoured to oversee the organisation of this historic event, marking a major milestone for Snow Volleyball in Poland. Our goal is to deliver a world-class tournament that will elevate the sport’s visibility, inspire athletes, and engage fans both locally and internationally. This championship is not only a competition but also a unique opportunity to showcase the charm of Karpacz as a premier destination for Snow Volleyball. Together with our team, we are committed to ensuring a professional and unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
