The Latvian women`s national volleyball team is set to kick off a crucial phase of their CEV EuroVolley 2026 qualification campaign this Saturday. Their first of two decisive matches will be played on home turf in Riga, against Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the Team Sports Games Hall. Recent Performance and Preparation
After securing a silver medal in the CEV Silver League 2025, where they were defeated by Switzerland in a two-leg final, the Latvian team demonstrated strong form. They notably won a friendly match against Denmark 3-1 (25-21, 25-21, 23-25, 25-19), with an additional closed-door match also played. Furthermore, in Tallinn, they triumphed over Estonia in an official friendly 3-2 (22-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-27, 15-13), followed by a closed-door match won 3-1 (23-25, 25-19, 25-22, 26-24), though Estonia claimed an extra set 25-19.

In the previous year`s qualification round, Latvia secured a 3-2 victory against Montenegro and received a 3-0 walkover win against Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the latter forfeited their home fixture. The main CEV EuroVolley 2026 tournament, featuring 24 national teams, is scheduled to take place across Türkiye, Czechia, Azerbaijan, and Sweden.
