Europe`s leading women`s volleyball clubs are keenly anticipating the Drawing of Lots for the next CEV Champions League Volley season, the continent`s most prestigious club competition.
CEV has confirmed 20 teams will participate in the 4th round. Fifteen teams have automatically qualified, while the final five berths will be filled by the winners of the 3rd round, decided through doubleheader matches in September.
The Drawing of Lots is scheduled for Tuesday, July 15th, at 12:00 CEST in Luxembourg. This event will establish the pool compositions as Europe`s elite clubs prepare for another exciting campaign chasing the top continental title.

Italy: Four formidable teams are in the main draw: two-time defending champions and perennial favorites A. Carraro Prosecco DOC Conegliano, along with Savino Del Bene Scandicci, Numia Vero Volley Milano, and Igor Gorgonzola Novara. These clubs consistently reach the late stages; both Conegliano and Novara have recently claimed the trophy.
Turkey: Also presents a strong contingent with four top teams: Eczacibasi Istanbul, VakifBank Istanbul, Fenerbahçe Medicana Istanbul, and Ankara Zeren Spor Kulübü. The Istanbul clubs are regular title contenders, while Ankara Zeren Spor Kulübü will aim to demonstrate competitive spirit.
Other Nations: Poland enters three sides: ŁKS Commercecon Łódź, Grot Budowlani Łódź, and Developres Rzeszów. Germany contributes two teams: Dresdner SC and SSC Palmberg Schwerin. Serbia (OK Železničar Lajkovac), France (Levallois Paris Saint Cloud), and Romania (CS Volei Alba Blaj) each have one representative.
Four places are still open. The full lineup for the season will be finalized after the 3rd round, when the four winners of the preliminary round doubleheaders advance to the 4th round.
This season, two wildcards were awarded to Ankara Zeren Spor Kulübü and Igor Gorgonzola Novara.
The CEV Board of Administration granted these wildcards strategically to ensure highly competitive matches and enhance the marketability of the CEV Champions League Volley across Europe and internationally. The market potential of the applying clubs and their respective countries was a primary consideration in this informed decision.
