Lithuanian Dominance at Warsaw Beach Pro Tour Futures

Lithuania showcased exceptional performance at the women-only Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Futures event in Warsaw this weekend, capturing both the gold and silver medals. The tournament, held in the Polish capital from Thursday to Sunday, saw intense competition among various national teams.

Duos from Lithuania and Romania celebrated on the podium in the Polish capital.

Teams representing 17 different nations vied for glory at Plaża Wilanów. However, it was the Lithuanian contingent, with three pairs entered, that ultimately secured both spots in the final match, highlighting their formidable presence in the sport.

In a thrilling final that extended to three sets, qualifiers Ariana Rudkovskaja and Skalve Krizanauskaite concluded their remarkable journey in Warsaw by triumphing over their compatriots, Ieva Vasiliauskaite and Erika Kliokmanaite. The scores were 2-1 (15-21, 26-24, 15-10), sealing the coveted title for Rudkovskaja and Krizanauskaite.

Beach Pro Tour Warsaw Futures – Women`s Results

The battle for the bronze medal was equally captivating. Romanians Francesca Alupei and Beata Vaida emerged victorious against Hungarians Stefánia Kun and Lilla Villám. After another tie-breaker, Alupei and Vaida secured their podium finish with scores of 2-1 (15-21, 21-16, 15-11).

Looking ahead, the 2025 Beach Pro Tour season for Futures events in Europe still features two remaining women`s tournaments. The first is scheduled to take place in Lille, France, from September 18-21. Following this, a double-gender event will be held in Balikesir, Türkiye, from September 25-28.

These Beach Pro Tour Futures events, organized by the CEV in close partnership with Volleyball World, play a crucial role in providing European teams with valuable competitive opportunities and chances to earn significant international ranking points, fostering the development of beach volleyball across the continent.
