Marek Rojko, who also serves on the FIVB Board of Administration, has been overwhelmingly re-elected as President of the Slovak Volleyball Federation (SVF). His new term will run for four years, concluding in 2029. The election took place on June 21st during the 21st Elective Conference held at the AquaCity Hotel in Poprad.
Rojko secured a decisive victory, receiving 58 out of the 59 votes cast by the delegates. A total of 60 delegates with voting rights participated in the conference, representing 97 percent of all invited attendees.
Rojko has been a member of the FIVB Board of Administration since 2024. He has led the National Federation through a period characterized by significant progress in both the governance and performance aspects of Slovak volleyball.
During the conference proceedings, several key amendments were approved. These updates included revisions to the SVF Statutes, the Electoral Code, and the Competition Rules, all based on proposals that had been submitted.
In addition to electing the president, delegates also cast votes for members of the Executive Board, the Vice-Chair of the Supervisory Board, and the Chairs and Vice-Chairs of various commissions including the Disciplinary Commission, Arbitration Commission, Appeals Commission, and the Electoral Commission.
The newly elected Executive Board members who will serve from 2025 to 2029 are Alena Bielikova, Juraj Mokry, Pavol Mancak, Peter Kalny, Eva Kosekova, Peter Kasper, Lukas Brilla, and Eduard Hronsky. Juraj Mokry was further appointed to the role of Vice President.
Other officials elected to leadership positions include Martin Vadrna as Vice-Chair of the Supervisory Board; Roman Heinrich and Jakub Kovacik as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Disciplinary Commission; Peter Reisz and Marcel Blazo as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Arbitration Commission; Peter Buck and Martin Dohnansky as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Appeals Commission; and Ladislav Jakab and Jana Havranova as Chair and member of the Electoral Commission.
