The 21st Elective Conference of the Slovak Volleyball Federation (SVF) convened on Saturday at the AquaCity Hotel in Poprad. The conference saw significant participation, with 60 delegates holding voting rights, representing 97% of all invited individuals.

During the Conference proceedings, several key amendments were officially approved. These included important updates to the SVF Statutes, the Electoral Code governing elections, and the Competition Rules, all based on the documents submitted for consideration.
Elections were a central part of the conference, with 59 delegates casting their votes. The delegates elected not only the SVF President but also the members of the Executive Board, the Vice-Chair of the Supervisory Board, and the leadership (Chairs and Vice-Chairs) of the SVF`s judicial bodies – specifically the Disciplinary Commission, Arbitration Commission, and Appeals Commission. Additionally, the Chair and members of the SVF Electoral Commission were elected.
Marek Rojko secured his re-election as SVF President for a second consecutive term, set to run from 2025 through 2029. He received strong support with 58 votes. Having held the presidency since 2021, Rojko is now confirmed to lead the organization for at least another four years, until 2029.
“In 2021, we were confronted with significant challenges and internal divisions. The notable progress Slovak Volleyball has achieved since then is a crucial factor I see in this re-election. Many challenges lie ahead, but I am confident that together with the newly formed Executive Board, we can effectively navigate the demanding periods to come. Volleyball in Slovakia has built credibility and delivered results, and I am certain it will maintain its position among the country`s leading sports organizations. I am also pleased by the presence of candidates for every position, including all judicial bodies, which underscores the legitimacy and integrity of the SVF`s governance structure.”
“I want to express my gratitude to all clubs and stakeholders for their contribution to preparing and executing a high-standard conference – a testament to the caliber of people involved in Slovak Volleyball. This event can serve as a benchmark for other sports. Finally, I wish to thank my wife, my family, and the SVF Secretariat team. Their support allows me to continue serving Volleyball with dedication and energy, contributing to its growth at all levels,” Rojko stated after his re-election.
