This significant date honors 130 years since William G. Morgan invented the sport in 1895. Fuelled by an overwhelming collective effort from fans, players, clubs, federations, and enthusiasts worldwide, the day became a powerful testament to the sport`s global appeal.

From bustling beaches and local courts to community halls and grand international stadiums, volleyball aficionados globally showcased their enthusiasm. On social media, the trending hashtag #WorldVolleyballDay compiled a vibrant collection of impressive rallies and touching narratives, illustrating how the sport captivates, motivates, and brings together individuals across all generations.

Preceding the main event, the official World Volleyball Day video, showcasing legendary indoor and beach volleyball athletes, rapidly went viral. Accumulating over 3.3 million views, it masterfully set the festive tone for the global observance.

This monumental day not only unified the entire Global Volleyball Movement but also drew participation from prominent world leaders and international organizations.

In France, President Emmanuel Macron hosted the nation`s Paris 2024 Olympic volleyball champions at the Élysée Palace, acknowledging their triumphs and volleyball`s deep cultural impact.

The International Olympic Committee also highlighted the occasion, sharing a dynamic and widely viewed reel that featured volleyball players in action across various global locations.

The Qatar Foundation organized numerous community initiatives aimed at promoting volleyball universally and cultivating a lively, inclusive local volleyball environment, underscoring the sport`s power to connect and uplift communities.

In India, KIIT and KISS Universities, in partnership with the Odisha Volleyball Association, led an extensive program to host volleyball events throughout Odisha`s 30 districts and neighboring regions. Their clear objective was to introduce volleyball to every part of the country and motivate future generations.

Leading brands, professional sports leagues, and local grassroots organizations also contributed uniquely to the day`s widespread success.
