The CEV School Project, proudly titled `Play Volleyball – Grow with it,` continues to steadily broaden its sphere of influence and reach. Romania has recently become the latest addition to this initiative, joining a growing roster of countries and National Federations dedicated to inspiring the next generation of volleyball athletes.
This new collaboration with Romania signifies a notable expansion, elevating the total number of National Federations participating in the CEV School Project to an impressive 30. Further growth and partnerships are keenly anticipated in the near future. Romania`s inclusion is a logical and natural progression, building upon its prior engagement as a key partner in the EU-funded `Play Volleyball – Grow with it 2.0 (PVGW2.0)` program.
Commencing with the 2025/2026 academic year, the Romanian Volleyball Federation is set to fully leverage this comprehensive project. They will utilize a rich variety of educational materials and resources to popularize volleyball within schools. A core objective of this initiative is to provide essential training for physical education teachers and coaches, ensuring that young people not only discover a passion for volleyball during their school lessons but are also actively encouraged to transition into and join local volleyball clubs within their communities.
The CEV School Project consistently demonstrates robust progress and sustained momentum. This commitment was recently highlighted by the resumption of activities, marked by productive online meetings convened by the CEV Technical and Development Department with School Project Managers representing all partner National Federations.
