Saskia van Hintum, a prominent figure in volleyball coaching, speaking at a convention.

Saskia van Hintum is set to make her debut appearance at the 2025 CEV Coaches Convention in Zadar, Croatia (September 26-28), bringing with her over four decades of elite volleyball expertise. Her impressive career spans 17 years as a professional player and 22 years as a dedicated full-time coach in both indoor and beach volleyball.

Van Hintum accepted the invitation to speak, motivated by her desire to connect with passionate colleagues and share the extensive knowledge she has accumulated through coaching and playing across various countries and roles. Crucially, she also aims to serve as a role model for female coaches, demonstrating that authenticity and excellence are not only compatible but vital for achieving top-tier success.

Her session will explore the intricacies of setting and the evolving landscape of training methodologies. Attendees can anticipate an interactive format, drawing from Van Hintum`s personal journey and practical insights into how both coaches` expectations and athletes` needs have transformed over time.

Furthermore, Van Hintum has been deeply involved in youth sports development, most recently as an assistant coach for Germany at the Girls` U19 World Championship. A key message she intends to highlight at the Convention is the critical importance of early physical education.

Her philosophy closely aligns with the core themes of the 2025 Convention: “The Coach in the Centre,” “Inspiration in Motion,” and “Not Just a Convention, a Movement.” As a coach who champions growth through experimentation and continuous adaptation to the sport`s evolution, Saskia van Hintum promises to deliver both inspiring and profound practical insights in Zadar.
