For the second consecutive week, Geneva, Switzerland, hosts a Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour event at the scenic La Rotonde du Mont-Blanc lakefront. This time, the focus shifts to the women`s competition, running from Thursday through Sunday.
Swiss Menia Bentele and Annique Niederhauser took silver last weekend in Messina
Following last weekend`s successful men`s tournament at the same location, 27 women`s pairs are ready to compete over the upcoming four days.
Switzerland achieved remarkable success in the men`s event last week, securing all three medals. Now, the host nation hopes its women`s teams can replicate this impressive podium sweep. Switzerland is represented by eight pairs in total, with four earning direct entry into the main draw.
Competitors from 14 nations will participate in the Geneva event. Beyond Switzerland, only three countries field multiple teams: the United States (5), Canada (2), and Germany (2). Argentina, Australia, Czechia, France, Hungary, Lithuania, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, and Sweden each have one pair.

Another pair with potential for a strong performance in Geneva is the new Dutch team for the 2025 season, Mexime Van Driel and Kirsten Bröring, who are debuting together this week.
The tournament commences on Thursday with the qualification phase, where 15 teams will vie for the final four spots in the main draw. Pool play is scheduled for Friday, followed by the Round of 12 and quarterfinals on Saturday. The semifinals and medal matches will conclude the event on Sunday.
