This monumental clash will feature the gold medalists from the past two Olympic Games: Norway`s Anders Mol and Christian Sørum, who clinched victory in Tokyo 2020, against Sweden`s David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig, the reigning champions from Paris 2024. These formidable duos are set to compete later today for the prestigious European Crown, having both overcome tough challenges in their semifinal matches against impressive Dutch opponents.
The Norwegian `Vikings,` already celebrated as four-time European Champions, have been striving to secure their fifth title since 2021. A significant factor contributing to this extended wait has been the formidable emergence of today`s opponents, the Swedes. Åhman and Hellvig remarkably claimed their inaugural European title in 2022, and then achieved a stunning double victory just one year later.
