Turkey`s women`s team has started the CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour season with dominant performances, securing their second consecutive victory in Erzurum, Turkey, just a week after winning the first event in Bakuriani, Georgia. This makes it two wins out of two on the women`s circuit for Türkiye. In the men`s competition, Italy narrowly defeated Poland in the Bakuriani Final to claim the top spot, while France earned a well-deserved win by overcoming another Polish team in the Erzurum Final.
At the Bakuriani event last week, the same location that recently hosted the first-ever U20 European Snow Championship, the men`s podium saw host nation Georgia finish third. They secured this spot after defeating France in the battle for bronze, giving the home crowd reason to cheer. On the women`s side in Bakuriani, Georgia also claimed the third position by winning their match against Hungary.
In Erzurum, the Turkish men`s team completed their podium finish by defeating Italy in the third-place match. For the women`s tournament, a notable presence in the final was the team from Romania. They made a strong run as an `outsider`, reaching the final and securing second place after overcoming three other Turkish teams on their path.
The final event of the CEV Snow European Tour season is scheduled to take place at the end of March in Prato Nevoso, Italy, running from March 29 to 31.
