Ukraine Crowned Golden League Champions 2025

Ukraine has secured the title in the CEV Women’s Golden League 2025, defeating Hungary with a 3-1 victory in the final match. This significant win highlights the team`s composed play and consistent performance throughout crucial moments of the game.

Starting strong, Ukraine claimed the first set comfortably with a score of 25-16. Hungary responded effectively in the second set, displaying increased energy and improved coordination. Capitalizing on a temporary dip in Ukraine`s momentum, Hungary edged ahead to win the set, leveling the match score at 1-1.

Ukraine quickly recovered and regained their form in the third set, replicating their dominant start with another 25-16 win. Carrying this momentum forward, they decisively closed out the fourth set, securing a well-deserved 3-1 overall victory.

Key to Ukraine`s success was the performance of Anna Artyshuk, who was named MVP of the Match after scoring 17 points, including 2 aces. Setter SHARHORODSKA Daria received the honor of Most Valuable Player of the Tournament for her exceptional consistency throughout Ukraine`s campaign.

Hungary, having shown great resilience to reach the final, can be proud of their silver medal, marking a strong performance in the tournament despite the final loss.

Earlier in the day, Romania made history by claiming the Bronze Medal, defeating Sweden. This marked Romania`s first-ever European medal in the competition, capping off a memorable run.

Switzerland Claims Silver League Title 2025

The CEV Women’s Silver League 2025 final, held over the weekend, saw Switzerland face Latvia in a clash between two promising European teams.

Switzerland delivered their most convincing performance of the tournament, achieving a straight-sets victory to secure their historic first-ever Silver League title. The Swiss team maintained control from the outset, concluding the match with a dominant 3-0 scoreline.

Outside hitter Julie Lengweiler played a starring role, contributing 13 points, including 2 aces, and was recognized as the MVP of the match for her impactful contribution.

Latvia earned the silver medal, concluding a solid campaign marked by consistent play and a well-deserved spot on the podium.
