Utrecht Crowns New Queen & King of the Court Champions in Exciting Finals

The Queen & King of the Court Utrecht 2025 tournament concluded on Sunday at the Bet City Arena in Utrecht’s Jaarbeursplein, delivering intense competition and celebrating new champions in front of a lively local audience.

Following two captivating final matches, teams from the Netherlands and Brazil emerged victorious, each securing the required 15 points in the final phase to claim the coveted titles of Kings and Queens of Utrecht.

Brazilian Teams Dominate Women`s Competition

The women’s final featured a strong field of five teams: Dutch pairs Konink/Schoon and Van Driel/Bekhuis, Americans Simo/Van Winkle, and Brazilian duos Vitória/Hege and Andressa/Tainá.

Andressa and Tainá finished in fifth place after narrowly missing points in the first round. Vitória/Hege excelled in the second round, while the Dutch teams Van Driel/Bekhuis and Konink/Schoon also advanced, leaving Simo/Van Winkle significantly behind.

In the crucial final round, however, Vitória/Hege proved unbeatable, reaching the 15-point target comfortably ahead of time to secure their victory swiftly.

Konink/Schoon earned silver with 5 points, while Van Driel/Bekhuis took bronze after failing to score in the final stage.

Home Team Claims Memorable Men`s Victory

On the men’s side, the Netherlands had a strong showing with two teams in the final. Brouwer and Van de Velde competed against fellow Dutch pair Boermans/De Groot, the American duo Smith/Webber, Brazilians George/Saymon, and Australians Nicolaidis/Carracher.

Boermans/De Groot initially performed well, while the eventual champions had to fight back to avoid early elimination. In the second round, George/Saymon were strong, but Boermans/De Groot lost momentum and finished fourth.

During the decisive round, Nicolaidis/Carracher built a significant 7-point lead. However, the Dutch team rallied, eventually surpassing the Australians and securing the 15 points needed for their win.

Queen & King of the Court Utrecht was the third event in the Crown Series, following legs in Tenerife and Hamburg. This tournament attracted over 20,000 unique viewers via the global livestream and was broadcast live in more than 90 countries.
