Roma vs. Fiorentina: Match Stats and Fun Facts at the Olimpico

August 24, 2026Diego Herrera1 мин

Roma has emerged victorious in their last three Serie A encounters against Fiorentina. However, the history before that was more evenly balanced, with only one win for the Giallorossi, two draws, and three victories for the Viola in the six preceding matches.

Historically, the Olimpico stadium has been a strong fortress for the Romans, as they have suffered defeat in just three of their last 52 home league games against Fiorentina. The last time Fiorentina secured a win in the capital was in April 2018, with a 2-0 scoreline thanks to goals from Benassi and Simeone. Since then, there have been six wins for Roma and two draws.

Interestingly, both teams are heading into their opening fixture of the season with positive momentum. Roma has lost only one of their last 14 Serie A season openers, while Fiorentina is undefeated in their last four inaugural matches and has drawn the most recent two.
