Volleyball World and SPONSOR, a leading sports drink brand in Thailand under the TCP Group, have announced a significant expansion of their partnership. This collaboration will now cover the entire Southeast Asia region throughout 2025. The strengthened alliance will involve SPONSOR supporting a series of major volleyball events held across the region.
Entering its third year, the partnership between Volleyball World and SPONSOR has already achieved notable success. SPONSOR previously served as the title sponsor for the highly attended 2024 Women’s Volleyball Nations League (VNL) Finals in Thailand, building on their sponsorship of the 2023 VNL Bangkok stage. The VNL 2024 broadcasts in Thailand garnered an impressive cumulative live audience of 38.4 million viewers over 53 hours. Particularly, the match between Thailand and China, aired on Channel 7, drew the highest sports viewership in Thailand that year, with an average live audience of 3.7 million and peaking at 4.6 million viewers.
Capitalizing on this positive momentum, SPONSOR will extend its backing to select stages of the 2025 VNL across Southeast Asia. Furthermore, a key part of the expanded partnership includes supporting the FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship 2025, which Thailand is set to host for the first time in history.
As part of their 2025 partnership activities, SPONSOR plans a comprehensive multi-channel marketing campaign. This will feature exciting fan engagement initiatives, such as chances to win match tickets and exclusive merchandise, alongside immersive experiences designed to connect with fans during the tournaments. The brand`s “Cheer for Thailand with All Your Heart” campaign aims to bring supporters closer to the action and their favourite teams.
Oliver Clarke, Head of Sponsorship at Volleyball World, shared his thoughts:
“We are thrilled to broaden our collaboration with SPONSOR. They are a brand that aligns with our goal of growing volleyball and connecting with more fans throughout Southeast Asia. The passion and engagement shown by supporters in Thailand during the VNL over the last two years have been exceptional. With SPONSOR’s continued support, we are confident in our ability to keep finding new ways to engage both our existing fanbase and new audiences.”
Ms. Mallika Lungnimitmas, Marketing Director of TCP Group, added:
“Since 2023, we have proudly supported the Volleyball Nations League in Thailand, giving fans a top-quality sporting experience and the chance to cheer for the Thai national team. This year marks another important milestone as we expand our partnership to include the Women`s Volleyball World Championship 2025, which is coming to Thailand for the very first time. This prestigious event will allow Thai fans to support their team at home while experiencing elite international competition firsthand.”
