Workshop Held with National Federations on Day Three in Palau

The third day of activities in Palau included a workshop for National Federation (NF) leaders, specifically their Presidents, Secretaries General, and Technical Directors.

FIVB President Fabio Azevedo, along with Oceania Zonal Association President and FIVB Board of Administration Executive Vice-President Hugh Graham, and Hitesh Malhotra, Head of Volleyball Empowerment and NF Relations, conducted an engaging and interactive session with the NF representatives.

The session encouraged open discussion, addressing questions from the NFs on topics such as Volleyball Empowerment, support from Olympic Solidarity, the Volleyball Information System, and athlete development within their regions.

Subsequently, a separate meeting took place with French-speaking nations that possess active volleyball teams but are not yet members of the FIVB. This discussion focused on potential avenues for collaboration and integration into the Global Volleyball Movement.

Also on day three, Palau`s Koror Beach Volleyball Venue was officially recognized as a Centre of Excellence. This recognition followed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Koror State, the Oceania Zonal Volleyball Association (OZVA), the Palau National Olympic Committee (PNOC), and the Palau Volleyball Federation (PVF).
